The Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL)

CASEL is a trusted source for knowledge about high-quality, evidence-based social and emotional learning (SEL). SEL is the process through which all young people and adults acquire and apply the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to develop healthy identities, manage emotions and achieve personal and collective goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain supportive relationships, and make responsible and caring decisions. CASEL has curated list of resources that focus on the role of parents in SEL.

Center on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)

Families and caregivers should consider using PBIS in their homes on a daily basis. It is especially helpful when events disrupt normal routines – events like worldwide health pandemics. The Center on PBIS provides recommendations for families and caregivers on how to use PBIS to continue to support their students’ social and emotional growth and minimize behavioral disruptions in the home.
